Description
During the summer this clump-forming perennial bears spires of pure white flowers which last into the autumn. The flower stems rise from a base of mid-green, oval pointed leaves . ‘Alba’ is commonly known as White-flowered Red Bistort. It is an ideal plant to use alongside streams, ponds and in other boggy situations, it thrives in moisture-retentive soils in full sun or partial shade . Perfect for adding long lasting colour to your beds and borders from midsummer onwards. Cut the stems back once the flowering has finished.
