Description

There’s a Geranium for every situation- sun or shade, damp or dry, even those intractable patches of dry shade. The foliage is handsome; they make excellent ground cover; they are untroubled by slugs and snails; and their delicate flowers, in every shade of pink, purple, white and blue, are not only pleasing in their own right, but are the perfect foil for showier plants. Geranium ph.album is a useful plant that will thrive even in damp or dry shade. This has small, nodding, white flowers with yellow centres in late spring to early summer, held high above green, deeply lobed leaves, with distinctive purple blotches around the centre. It will quickly spread to form a hummock of foliage that is good for suppressing weeds. Use it in woodland, among ferns, where the white flowers will shine, or under deciduous trees.Great for brightening up a dull spot in the garden. Good in partial shade.
