Cornus alba ‘Baton Rouge’ is one of the red Dogwood varieties noted for its bright autumn and winter colour. This deciduous shrub has green ovate leaves and small, creamy-white flowers through spring and summer. During the autumn the leaves turn plum-coloured and the flowers give way to small blue-white berries.

Description

Cornus alba ‘Baton Rouge’ is a lovely shrub grown primarily for its bright scarlet stems, intensifying in winter. Dark green leaves are produced in spring and bluish fruits in autumn. A dense wide spreading shrub that is tolerant of most soils so long as they are not too dry. Prune hard in March to achieve the best coloured stems the following winter.
