Umbels of nodding, tubular, creamy-white flowers in spring are followed by glossy, black fruit in autumn.<\/p>\n<p>The new leaves rise in early spring and a second flush in late summer. These are deep green with a purplish tint and very glossy, borne on rigid stems which also hold the flowers. Flowers are broadly tubular and hang pendulously at around 2 cms long.
