It is an herbaceous perennial found in light woodland or damp, shady locations. It forms an upright clump and its leaves often have brownish-purple markings.<em>Geranium phaeum<\/em>\u00a0&#8216;Walk\u00fcre&#8217; flowers in late spring to early summer. It has wide, delicately coloured lavender-blue flowers with pale blue centres. Light green leaves. Divide the clumps in the spring or early autumn, prune the foliage and remove the dried floral stems.
