Product Description
Part of the Wish series, Salvia ‘Love and Wishes’ bears aromatic foliage, dark stems and masses of rich, dark pink-purple flowers from May to October.
Plants form a bushy habit, making ‘Love and Wishes’ perfect for growing in a container on the patio. For best results, grow in well-drained soil, in full sun.
Salvia Love and Wishes is a member of the popular ‘Wishes’ series. It was first launched at Chelsea in 2015. This stunning plant remains a popular ‘best seller’ because of it’s dark stems and calyxes and masses of pink-purple/magenta flowers. The foliage is slightly aromatic.
In some sheltered gardens with free draining soil it will survive a chilly winter but ideally it should be placed in a large pot so it can be sheltered over the cold months. Like all salvias, we recommend trimming back in warm spring weather but if bringing into a warm environment for the winter it will help to cut back to strengthen the plant form the following year.
During the flowering season (spring to late summer outside), trim back spent flowers to next leaf node. If in a pot, feed once every 3 – 4 weeks with a seaweed fertiliser.
A very neat growing variety with a height of up to 80cm. The plant is wonderful at attracting bees and butterflies.
