Sumptuous dark stems complement the blooms wonderfully. Drought tolerant and happy in borders and containers. Prefers well-drained soil in sun.

Ember’s Wish’ is an orange-flowered sport of ‘Wendy’s Wish’. It bears tall flower spikes throughout summer, in contrast to grey-green foliage. It’s ideal for growing in a sunny, herbaceous border, where it will complement a variety of other flower colours, and it may be used to quickly fill gaps.Grow Salvia ‘Ember’s Wish’ in a sunny, sheltered site in well-drained soil. Cut back spikes immediately after flowering to promote a second flush. Stake from late-spring to prevent the spikes from flopping over. Although hardy in milder areas plants benefit from being brought into a greenhouse to over winter.
