Related to the Hollyhock family, this splendid perennial form the lower Danube grows 1.5m – 2m tall, has vine-like leaves & large, showy cup-shaped white flowers from July to September. It forms a good sized bush, and works very well at the back of a border. Almost shrub-like, this is a tall plant that is happy in sun or shade, & normal or moist soil & really deserves to be better known, particularly if you struggle to grow Hollyhocks as we do here. Fantastic for providing interest for shady areas where you might normally struggle to find a flowering plant.
