Hebe salicifolia


A large variety of hebe with an upright habit. It has mid green willow like narrow leaves. Drooping racemes of white or pale blue flowers are produced in summer and are highly desirable to bees.Prefers a sheltered spot in any moist but well drained soil in full sun or partial shade.

Hebe Salicifolia is one of the largest Hebes and puts on a truly spectacular display of flower all through the summer. We have one in the nursery and it is covered in white flowers in the summer. It is a very versatile shrub as it can be used as an informal hedging plant, in a large shrub border or in any low maintenance bed which requires large ground cover.Hebe Salicifolia is commonly known as the Willow Leaf Hebe as it’s leaves bear a striking resemblance to the leaves of a willow tree. The flowers are are borne in long white racemes that are very attractive to bees.
