Antirrhinum Pretty in Pink

Bright pink flowers are produced from early summer through to autumn. The shiny, dark green, rust resistant foliage gives the plant a shrubby appearance. It is a fantastic addition to the front of a border, ‘Pretty in Pink’ also makes a great plant for a container, as it will flower its socks off all summer until the first frosts start.  The blooms also cut well for arrangements.  It likes a site in sun or partial shade in any good soil. Deadheading will encourage continuous flowering throughout the summer.

Product Description

This new perennial snapdragon has a really long flowering period, often producing its rich pink blooms all through summer and well into autumn if they are deadheaded regularly. The flowers are sought after by pollinating insects, and can last up to 2 weeks if cut for the vase. It does have a better resistance to fungal diseases than existing cultivars, but it can be short-lived. Having said that, if grown in a sunny spot with well drained soil and treated like a Penstemon by pruning in spring it will usually last a few years.
