LEWIS COTTAGE PLANTS: Coronavirus (Updated Dec 30th 2020)

*Important Updates for Mail Order and Other Services during Covid 19.

At Lewis Cottage we are continuing to dispatch plants to our customers thanks to our wonderful couriers but inevitably there may be delays in getting those orders out to you & ask that you bear with us during this difficult time.

*Online Orders

To minimise contact for our couriers we are currently operating one dispatches per week on Mondays. 90% of our orders are delivered within 48 hours of dispatch, but there may be delays in certain parts of the country, but your plants should be fine if you give them a good soak on arrival.

* Plant Availability

The best way to check our stocks of plants is to use the website – each plant entry shows how many plants are available to buy – many plants are available on back order which means we will dispatch them as soon as they are available.

* Our Couriers Service

Our couriers continue to deliver parcels nationwide and are doing a wonderful job, they too are short staffed and in high demand, so we thank them for their continued good service.

Presently you DO NOT have to sign for your parcel and we are recommend customers leave delivery instructions for their orders. For example – ‘leave on doorstep’
You can also put this note on your front door for delivery drivers
Should you not wish to open your parcel immediately, in most cases plants will survive in the package for 48 hours before showing signs of deterioration and even longer before they perish completely.

* Our thanks

We would like to thank all our wonderful customers, old and new for their support and understanding during this challenging time. We would also like to thank the couriers & suppliers who continue to deliver our plant orders across the UK.

*Collections and Local deliveries.
No contact collection from the nursery can be arranged for local customers if you’re already out & about on essential travel & delivery can be arranged locally too if you’re shielding or part of a vulnerable group.

*Social Media

An ideal way to see what’s going on in the garden here & to share your own garden with us whilst in isolation, follow us across our social media platforms

*NGS open garden weekends

Delighted to announce that our planned open garden weekends for the NGS will  go ahead, though in a socially distanced way. We hope that the lure of some plant shopping will tempt you to visit. You are most welcome to bring a picnic with you. We will update our website & social media platforms as the situation changes & look forward to welcoming back to the garden.

Stay safe & thank you for your support
